Africa could certainly be described as a land of spectacular color, excitement and adventure. Majestic landscapes that comprise of sweeping savannah plains contrasted against steep valleys and rippling swells of natural springs.
My latest inspiration trip was to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Its name is derived from Kilima Njaro in Swahili, which means ‘Shining Mountain’.
Trekking my way up the steep, winding trail of this spectacular mountain I wanted to emulate the sultry, smoky shades of the native lavenders and blend tones of the deep purple and jewel hues of the mountain as dusk gently turns to moonlight. What a stunning destination palette this color combination could be! As the evening sky emerges, tiny glittering stars glow bright as the snow capped peak shimmers in the starlight. The colors here are rich and bold and the harmonious hues deeply connect you to the ancient mystery of the land. The luxurious formulation of my “Moonlight On Kilimanjaro” palette allows an effortless sweep across the eyelid to beautify and enhance your own natural eye color through a series of complimentary shades.
